Henan ZongXiang Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese manufacturer and exporter of steel products and railway materials, has successfully completed the export of a 500-ton batch of high-quality square steel bars to Vietnam. The shipment, which departed from Qingdao Port in early November 2025, marks another milestone in the company’s expanding presence in the Southeast Asian market.
The square steel bars, primarily in specifications of 20×20 mm, 25×25 mm, and 30×30 mm, are hot-rolled products made from Q235B and Q345B carbon structural steel. These materials are widely used in Vietnam’s construction, machinery manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors, particularly for framework fabrication, bracing components, and foundation supports in industrial plants and high-rise buildings. All products meet Chinese national standards (GB/T 702-2017) and have passed third-party inspections by SGS, ensuring compliance with both domestic and Vietnamese import requirements.
This order originated from a long-term Vietnamese trading partner based in Ho Chi Minh City. After several rounds of technical communication and sample verification, the client selected ZongXiang over competitors due to the company’s competitive pricing, stable product quality, and proven on-time delivery record. The total contract value exceeded USD 320,000, with payment settled via 30% T/T advance and 70% against copy of B/L, a common practice that reflects growing mutual trust between the two parties.
To ensure smooth customs clearance, ZongXiang provided complete documentation including commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin (Form E), mill test certificates, and fumigation certificate. Thanks to the China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement, the shipment enjoyed zero-tariff treatment under Form E, significantly reducing the importer’s landing cost.
The goods were loaded in 25-ton bundles, securely strapped and wrapped with waterproof plastic film, then shipped via 20-foot containers (approximately 25-27 tons per container). A total of 19 containers were used for this batch. The sea freight route from Qingdao to Ho Chi Minh City’s Cat Lai Port took approximately 9 days, and the consignment arrived on schedule on November 20, 2025.
Mr. Li, General Manager of ZongXiang’s International Trade Department, stated: “Vietnam remains one of our most important export markets. Infrastructure investment under Vietnam’s 2021-2030 national development plan continues to drive strong demand for structural steel. This successful delivery further consolidates our partnership and lays the foundation for larger framework orders in 2026.”
Since 2018, ZongXiang has exported over 8,000 tons of square bars, round bars, and flat steel to Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines. With enhanced production capacity and a professional export team, the company is well positioned to capture greater market share in Southeast Asia’s booming construction and manufacturing sectors.
