ZXSTEELGROUP, one of China’s leading specialized steel manufacturers, announced the successful export of a large batch of high-quality hot-rolled and forged square steel bars to India. The shipment, totaling over 1,200 metric tons, departed from Qingdao Port and is destined for major industrial hubs in Mumbai and Chennai.
The order consists primarily of carbon and alloy square bars in sizes ranging from 50 mm × 50 mm to 300 mm × 300 mm. Grades include S45C, S355J2, 42CrMo4, EN8, EN9, and AISI 4140, all produced strictly according to international standards such as ASTM A29, EN 10025, and IS 2062. Customers particularly specified tight dimensional tolerances (±1.0 mm), excellent straightness (≤3 mm/m), and superior surface quality with no cracks or decarburization defects.
Mr. Rajesh Kumar, procurement director of the Indian client, a well-known heavy machinery and forging company, stated: “We have cooperated with many Chinese mills, but ZXSTEELGROUP’s product consistency, timely delivery, and professional documentation support stand out. Their square bars perform exceptionally well in our upset forging and machining processes.”
To meet India’s latest import regulations and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) requirements, ZXSTEELGROUP provided complete mill test certificates (MTC EN10204 3.1), chemical composition reports, ultrasonic testing (UT) reports according to SEP 1921 Class C/c, and third-party inspection by SGS before shipment. All goods were packed with standard export seaworthy packing – plastic caps on both ends, steel straps in bundles, and waterproof covering – ensuring safe arrival even during the monsoon season.
This export marks the third major order from the same Indian customer in 2025, with the total transaction volume exceeding USD 1.8 million this year alone. ZXSTEELGROUP’s general manager, Mr. Li Wei, commented: “India’s infrastructure and manufacturing sectors are growing rapidly.
